COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Amidst a rapidly evolving energy landscape and changes in federal clean energy policy, the Maryland Clean Energy Center (MCEC) is proud to announce the 2025 Maryland Clean Energy Summit & Climate Tech Exchange. Themed “Balancing Supply, Demand & Sustainability: Innovation in the Energy Marketplace,” the summit will take place on October 14-15, 2025, at the College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center.
The event, now reimagined as two full days, will offer attendees more resources and information to advance clean energy in the state. It will assemble a diverse and influential group of industry leaders, including policymakers, project developers, capital providers, utilities, and advocates. MCEC is convening these key stakeholders to facilitate innovative solutions that address the state’s most pressing energy challenges. This year’s theme will explore how clean energy can drive economic growth and reduce costs for consumers, businesses, and institutions.
“As Maryland experiences increasing energy demand, we need to ensure reliable power while attracting and retaining businesses,” said MCEC Executive Director Katherine Magruder. “The 2025 summit will bring together industry leaders to find the right solutions for balancing economic growth with our energy infrastructure needs.”
The agenda showcases the biggest ideas and features a wide array of expert-led discussions and networking opportunities. Notable speakers include Maryland Public Service Commission Chairman Frederick Hoover, U.S. Representative Johnny Olszewski (MD-02), Senator Joanne C. Benson, Delegate Dana Stein, Maryland Energy Administration Director Paul Pinsky, and more.
