CLEAN ENERGY ADVANTAGE

Maryland residents now have a new option for financing home energy improvement projects. MCEC and the Montgomery County Green Bank have launched the Clean Energy Advantage (CEA) Loan Program, authorized by the Maryland Public Service Commission (PSC) with approved funding from EmPOWER Maryland.

WHAT DOES MCEC DO?

MCEC has an economic development mission to advance the adoption of clean energy, and energy efficiency products, services and technologies. MCEC engages in efforts to help:

create and retain jobs;

drive economic and business development in local communities;

assist in the commercialization of innovative technologies;

reduce energy costs for consumers, and

drive reductions in greenhouse gas emissions associated with the use of fossil fuels.

Weekly webinars will address the programs, policies, and initiatives that could redefine and further the advancement of clean energy generation, facilitate environmental justice for disadvantaged consumers, and encourage access to incentives and financing strategies to assist in implementation- including the Energy as a Service model.
