Maryland communities face growing challenges from changing energy, economic, and environmental conditions, including rising energy costs, increasing infrastructure stress, evolving reliability concerns, and greater environmental risks. The Maryland Clean Energy Resilience Toolkit provides a practical, step-by-step process to help communities evaluate these conditions, assess risks and vulnerabilities, and identify practical, fundable response actions.
The Toolkit: A Quick Overview
Developed by the Center for Climate Strategies, the Toolkit is designed to help local governments and their partners strengthen the resilience of communities, infrastructure systems, and local economies through clean-energy strategies. It supports planning for both sudden disruptions—such as storms, outages, and extreme events—and long-term stresses including affordability pressures, infrastructure strain, and changing environmental conditions.
