Our Origins
The Maryland Clean Energy Center (MCEC) was created in 2008 by the State with a transformative vision—to spark a future powered by clean energy.
As a green bank, our directives are rooted in our enabling statute, which empowers us to promote clean energy industries, provide financing solutions, and drive meaningful change across the state. With this visionary foundation, we are committed to:
