Charging & Fueling

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

On January 30th, 2025, The Maryland Clean Energy Center (MCEC) received notification from our Program Officer at the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) stating that all FHWA grant programs have been paused. We have been notified that no bills will be approved for submission into the FHWA e-Delphi funding drawdown system at this time.

MCEC is notifying our partners that we are unable to cover any expenses you incur for CFI 1A currently. While this situation does not affect the majority of our subrecipients since we are still in the PRE-NEPA phase, it does have implications for our Outreach and Education and Workforce Development programs. We are working on the back end to ensure that the CFI 1A grant remains in compliance, thereby avoiding any termination due to non-compliance with the grant terms. Last week, our Q4 report was submitted and subsequently accepted by our Program Officer.

Additionally, MCEC has not yet received a signed contract for CFI 1B from FHWA. There is a possibility that this contract may not be signed despite being awarded. We encourage you to contact your government officials to emphasize the importance of this funding and the impact on your organization if it is not received.

We encourage you to contact your government officials to emphasize the importance of this funding and the impact on your organization if it is not received.

Our team will keep you informed as new information becomes available.

MCEC will be submitting both a COMMUNITY application and a CORRIDOR application for Round 2. We encourage everyone to bring their best ideas to the meeting to ensure we develop an innovative application and stay competitive in Round 2. The Notice of Funding Opportunity can be found here.
