REAP APPLICATION ASSISTANCE

FREE technical assistance and grant application support is available for Maryland-based rural agricultural producers and small businesses to access USDA REAP funding.

The $145 million in funding, allocated nationally under the Inflation Reduction Act, provides loans and grants to make energy efficiency improvements and renewable energy investments to lower energy costs, generate new income, and strengthen the resiliency of their operations.

MCEC will provide technical support and grant writing assistance, in partnership with the FEWSS Project, in order to meet the following rolling deadlines:

  • December 31, 2023
  • March 31, 2024
  • June 30, 2024
  • September 30, 2024

Assistance will include filing for the federal System for Award Management (SAM.gov) and Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) registrations, as well as support with completing a REAP grant application.

Grant awards require a 50% cash match from the applicant, and non-solar projects valued at $40,000 and under, are strongly encouraged. MCEC will work directly with the USDA Maryland Office to determine program and funding eligibility based on the USDA REAP requirements.

Interested participants should complete the USDA REAP Application Assistance Interest Form.
