Event Policy

Registration & Payment: 

• Registration is not confirmed until payment is received in full.  

• Registration includes, as available, access to sessions on registered days, networking opportunities, exhibits, scheduled meals or refreshments, and digital event materials and communications. 

• Registration is non-transferable without prior written approval from the Maryland Clean Energy Center. 

• Group discounts or promo codes, if applicable, must be applied at the time of registration and cannot be retroactively applied. 

Cancellation Policy: 

• The Maryland Clean Energy Center reserves the right to cancel this event at any time.
• Cancellations received at least 14 business days prior to the event start date are eligible for a full refund, minus a flat $75 processing fee. 

• No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 14 business days before the event. 

• All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. 

• To cancel your registration, email your full name (as registered), the email used to register, and your order invoice number (if available). Refunds, if eligible, will be issued to the original payment method within 14 business days and will be subject to an administrative fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received less than two weeks prior to the event. 

• Substitutions are allowed at no additional cost with advance notice. 

Event Policies: 

• Event badges provided by MCEC must be worn and visible at all times while on event premises. 

• Unauthorized audio, video recording, or photography is strictly prohibited. 

• Business casual attire is recommended. 

• We reserve the right to remove any attendee for disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior. 

• Cell phones and other electronic devices must be silenced during all sessions. 

• Children and unregistered guests are not permitted in conference sessions unless otherwise specified. 

Photography/Video Release: 

• By registering for this event, you acknowledge and agree that photographs and video may be taken during its duration. The Maryland Clean Energy Center may use these images for promotional, marketing, or archival purposes in any and all media, without compensation or further notice. If you prefer not to have your likeness used, please let us know by contacting [email protected] prior to the event. 

Health & Safety: 

• All attendees must comply with the current health and safety protocols as mandated by Prince George’s County and the event venue. 

• The Maryland Clean Energy Center reserves the right to implement additional precautions (e.g., mask mandates or vaccination requirements) based on public health guidance at the time of the event. 

Liability: 

• The Maryland Clean Energy Center and its affiliates are not responsible for any loss, injury, or damage to persons or property during the event.
• By registering, attendees voluntarily assume all risks related to event participation, including but not limited to travel, lodging, and attendance at sessions or networking events.

Data Privacy: 

• Personal information collected during registration will be used solely for communications from the Maryland Clean Energy Center and in accordance with our privacy policy.
• Your information will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except as required by law. 

Modifications: 

• The Maryland Clean Energy Center reserves the right to modify the event agenda, speakers, venue, event date, or these terms and conditions at any time.
• Any significant changes will be communicated to registered attendees via email.
