Maximizing Efficiency in the Built Environment
The second forum in the Maryland-Asia Energy Leadership Series will be held Thursday June 15, from 8:30 – noon at the Maryland Clean Energy Center in Rockville.
Hundreds of power plants, equivalent to more than one-third of the coal-fired power production in the United States, supply America's buildings. The built infrastructure uses 40% of the primary energy supplied in the United States, and more than 70% of all generated electricity. Advanced control systems currently in development suggest that they can save an additional 10 to 20%.
You will hear from top executives from some globally respected companies including DuPont, SkanskaUSA, Pfister Energy, and Oxford Instruments-TDI who will highlight the opportunities for optimizing energy efficiencies in new building development, retrofits and lighting for commercial buildings, industrial complexes and residential communities.
