Maryland Appliance Rebate Program

Maryland Appliance Rebate Program – Begins Earth Day, April 22!

Beginning April 22, 2010, Maryland will be offering additional rebate incentives for the purchase of new energy efficient appliances for the home! When combined with existing rebate programs, this new program means now is the time to upgrade your home appliances.

Maryland consumers can enjoy a $300 rebate for ENERGY STAR electric heat pump water heaters, a new and very efficient piece of equipment. Maryland will also offer rebates of $100 for super-efficient washing machines and $50 for super-efficient refrigerators.

These dollar amounts are offered in addition to any rebate currently offered by the utilities for ENERGY STAR models – and in addition to the energy savings you’ll realize over time!

The Maryland Appliance Rebate Program will layer federal funding on top of these utility rebate programs, to provide consumers with additional rebates on other products.

You will be able to take advantage of both the utility appliance rebate and the Maryland appliance rebate at the same time STARTING ON APRIL 22, 2010.  All rebates will be processed through your electric utility provider, and rebates are not retroactive.

For more information on the utility programs, visit the website for your utility provider:
